5 TO BROADCAST STAR-STUDDED GAME4HOPE CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH LIVE 

 5 will broadcast the Everton/Liverpool Xl vs World XI: Game4Hope charity football match, live from Hill Dickinson Stadium, the home of Everton FC, on Saturday 26th September.

Katie has covered some of the biggest events in football and sport, including major football tournaments, the Olympics and NFL. She recently presented 5’s live coverage of the World Snooker Tour, including the Players Championship, Tour Championship and British Open. Ade is an award-winning British sports presenter, broadcaster and journalist, prominently known as a flagship face of football and boxing coverage across major global networks.   

Viewers can witness Everton and Liverpool legends put their famous rivalry aside to come together for a cause that matters, with proceeds supporting Everton in the Community and Shelter and their work tackling homelessness across Merseyside and beyond.   

The Everton/Liverpool XI will be jointly managed by Everton great Peter Reid and Liverpool legend John Barnes, with Evertonian hero Tim Cahill as captain. Other footballing icons include Leighton Baines, Gareth Barry, Phil Jagielka, Yakubu, Robbie Fowler, David James, Ryan Babel, Jari Litmanen, John Aldridge, Joleon Lescott and Louis Saha confirmed to take part. They also will be joined by celebrity names including Tony Bellew, Big Zuu, Molly McCann, Still Ryan, James Nelson-Joyce and John Bishop.    

World Cup winners Rivaldo, Ballon d’Or will be co-captaining the Rest of the World XI with Clarence Seedorf. Featuring also on the pitch also is Brazilian World Cup-winning captain Cafu, Champions League winners Jaap Stam, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Mustapha Hadji and Des Walker, alongside Ted Lasso actors Toheeb Jimoh and Moe Hashim, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (Nitro), Johnny Nelson and Jack Fowler.   Further players, celebrities and special guests will be announced ahead of the match, with Tinie Tempah set to perform during the half-time show.
